Learn to Surf in Carlsbad
The beautiful Carlsbad North Frazee State beach is where we hold our private surf lessons, surf camps, and surfboard / bodyboard rentals. Carlsbad Surf instructors will be on the beach from March 20th – September 30th 9:30 AM – 7 PM Monday – Friday ( Please contact us for weekend lessons). This is the best learning spot in Carlsbad. The waves are very soft, long, and mellow which makes it great for beginners to learn how to surf. Many people surfing at Carlsbad North Frazee State beach are beginners, so you don’t have to feel intimidated. Carlsbad Surf Camp
A Typical Day at SoCal Surf Camp is safe, exciting, and informative. Come learn to surf and talk surfing with real professional surfers Che Stang and Rusty Friesen. We are dedicated to teaching all levels of surfing from beginners, intermediate, and advanced surfers.

Exciting surf experiences for guy’s and girls of all ages. You will be met each morning by your own SoCal Surf Camp instructor. Each day you will receive instruction in ocean safety and surf etiquette. The morning’s will begin with light stretching and warm-up’s, the proper approach to learning how to surf, beach activities, surf games, and environmental education. Students develop skills in and around the water that provide a foundation for fun safe and better surfing in the future. You will also learn about how waves are generated and how tides occur, marine biology, coastal ecology, and beach profiles.
At Carlsbad SoCal Surf Day Camp we guarantee you’ll be surfing on your very first day of camp!!! You’ll even get a cool picture of yourself to show off to your friends!
